Shopa is an emerging ecommerce platform dedicated to providing a wide range of fashion products such as jackets, shirts, bags, shorts, shoes, sweatshirts, and hoodies. The platform's core strengths lie in its affordability, extensive product selection, availability of coupons, and efficient delivery process. However, to further solidify its position in the market and enhance user satisfaction, Shopa seeks to optimize its user experience and boost sales conversion through strategic product design interventions.
The Challenge
While Shopa offers competitive pricing and a diverse product range, there are identified areas for improvement in the user experience that hinder sales conversion. These areas include navigational challenges, lack of personalized recommendations, and suboptimal checkout processes. Addressing these pain points is crucial to increase user engagement, retention, and ultimately drive sales growth.
Objectives
The primary objective is to optimize the user experience on Shopa's platform, focusing on the following key areas:
1. Simplify navigation and product discovery.
2. Build trust and credibility.
3. Streamline the checkout process.
4. Leverage available coupons effectively.
Research & Competitor Analysis
Conduct user interviews, surveys, and analyze user behavior on the platform to identify pain points and user preferences. Understand how users search for products, use coupons, and perceive the affordability and delivery process.
Analyze competitors in the ecommerce space, especially those focusing on affordability. Identify successful strategies and features that contribute to a positive user experience.

Information Architecture
Simplify the platform's navigation by restructuring the information architecture. Improve categorization and labeling to make it intuitive for users to find products quickly.

UX Design Iterations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, marketers, and product managers to ideate and prototype design solutions. Implement iterative design processes to rapidly prototype, test, and refine user interface elements, navigation flows, and checkout processes.
